I got all my gear BEFORE purchasing my bike, i never touched a bike previous to my first one and don’t regret the way I did things, when I got my bike I already had all the basics which included, Helmet, gloves, jacket, boots, and then the only thing i needed to save up for after my bike was some bottoms, my quadlock, and my cardo but if you can buy any of those b4 too it would be ideal. my friend did the opposite and regretted not at least having the basics when her bike came in.
