Audio human and semi retired musician here. Most venues are not built to be performance venues or night clubs. They are pubs and restaurants with a stage. People want to hear the music AND enjoy their companions. Some people want to dance. Some people want to sit back and listen. Everybody wants to be able to be heard without shouting. I want to make a mix that best represents the performance but I often have to convince them to let the tools do the work....
