Serious question for my creator friends from a non tech savvy creator: I have run out of storage on my 256 G laptop and I have a lot of projects coming up that will take up space. What is the best and most effective solution to storage without buying a new laptop or deleting videos and pictures? iCloud? Hard drive? Mass deletion? Any tips or tricks are greatly appreciated.

3 小時內	ASH \| MUSIC PHOTOGRAPHER ash.the.photo.g	I’d highly recommend investing in a 1TB or 2TB external SSD. I use a Samsung T7 as my daily driver for most media. You can offload your computers hard drive of projects to the T7 Drive and work directly off the drive without any issues.
4 小時內	brandnaqua	i have the real answer for you. i also have 256GB. i have 2TB iCloud Drive $10 + tax a month i have a Sandisk 1TB Extreme Portable SSD $100 my Apple Photos app is set to optimize storage. when i need to view them they load. when i need to work on them, i export originals to a folder on the desktop. for other files in the iCloud folder, i right click & remove downloads for files i'm not using. it keeps it in iCloud, but not on the computer. i download what i know i'll need on the go.

5 小時內	Nile O'Meally omeallynile	Cloud storage is great but honestly, external SSD. Go for 1TB, get the fastest one you can afford. You can get away with a 512GB drive if you’re happy to juggle with cloud storage or juggle drives. I do that. I don’t recommend it.
