My biggest tip for solo backpacking safety: Don’t camp near a road, dirt bike trail, or anything with motorized access. The vast majority of a$$holes are also lazy. This is an access road in what is otherwise wilderness, I wouldn’t camp anywhere within view of it. Generally, I’m going to camp off trail so I’m not visible to other hikers as well. If the weather allows, I’m cowboy camping so all the clip your zippers together “tips” are moot. And I’m definitely not carrying extra chairs.
