This is what I don't understand about the #itendswithus press tour. Why is Colleen Hoover not advocating against DV and instead promoting the movie as a romcom? From what I remember about reading the book (and I read it right when it came up, so don't quote me on that, it's been ages), it was inspired by her own personal story of an abusive father. So why? Is it money? Does she have no backbone?
