Fire snail : also known as Platymma tweediei, is a rare and large land snail native to Peninsular Malaysia. Specifically, it can be found in the mountainous regions of the Malaysian rainforest, particularly in the Cameron Highlands, Fraser's Hill, and other nearby areas.
These snails humid environments at altitudes of 1,000 to 1,500m. They are most often found in the undergrowth of these montane forests, hiding among leaf litter, moss, and other damp places where they can maintain moisture.
