Adding onto this and after my initial reaction, I think this is more a business decision than anything else. Streaming platforms no longer seem to have limitless budgets and so they’re going to be more critical of what they’re producing going forward. House do the Dragon had two episodes chopped. Plans for Andor have been minimized. And I think the Acolyte just didn’t perform well enough by monetary metrics for Disney to decide to spend more on it.
