Writing isn't just something you do. It's also a part of who you are. A writer writes. So, when it gets hard and the rejections are piling up, or you get those one-star reviews that are almost personal attacks, remember, you're a writer. You're not just doing this to make money, or a name for yourself. You're doing it because you couldn't possibly do anything else. At least, that's how I feel.
