People who know me know that I loved the Acolyte. My initial reaction was very much, “the review bombers won.” But if the reported $180 million budget numbers were true, this show’s second season was doomed before it even streamed the first. It was an excellent show that had very good viewership numbers that justified a second season… IF it had had a Mandalorian budget. With a Rise of Skywalker budget, it needed to be the next GoT, and Disney+ straight up doesn’t have the subscribers for that.😞
