I thought I'd try the greyscale to see the comparison. The sketchy white sections around her head are positions for roses/peonies. It's been a mega challenging piece for me, but I'm embracing the frustration and accepting that I need to be patient with not only myself but the painting to. When I begin a piece, there's usually a story behind it, and sometimes, in the challenge, the painting has a story to tell, rather than forcing it the only option is surrender. #outofmycomfortzone #surrender
