Mutual Aid is a practice in robust interconnected community planning, labor & resources. It is a radical paradigm poised to threaten and replace capital. Asking for help from your community is good, but receiving aid without placing effort into developing reciprocal relationships and intentional mutuality does not make that help “mutual aid.” It’s just aid. And you deserve the help you need, but let’s not diminish radical concepts simply because the words exist within the leftist lexicon.
