When @fredericohenriquesalles_art asked me to choose two colors for his work, I decided on yellow and violet. This is a very harmonious natural combination; there’s even a whole group of flowers that have both yellow and violet parts—in Russian, they are called "Ivan-da-Marya" ("Ivan and Mary"). Ivan and Marya are the most common male and female names, respectively, so the plant is named as if in honor of the masculine and feminine principles, like Yin and Yang, Animus and Anima.
