It’s an interesting question, but it’s conflating two different things. Do you remember the rituals and spells that He performed to invoke the power of the spirits in order to do these actions? No, you don’t. It’s not the ability, it was looking to other beings besides God in order to at least pretend to do the things that they did. The sin of sorcery is basically a subset of the sin of idolatry. It’s not idolatrous to be granted power by the Holy Spirit and to work things through said power.
