Gov. Walz is the kind of no-nonsense, big tent, mass-appeal progressive humanist that was missing from national politics. Too many national “progressives” have outsized personalities and celebrity clout that belie their scant accomplishments and mediocre abilities. I hope Gov. Walz’s VP nomination is finally proving that utilitarian, practical, progressive public policy *can* deliver for people — opening the door for a new kind of action-based progressive movement.
