I found the book to be really well written, and I really like it in every way. thank you @NetGalley for this advanced copy! the author did a terrific job creating the universe via the eccentricities and humours of the characters, instead of relying just on the flow of the plot. despite the frigid settings of Edinburgh, the romantic subplot definitely warms things up. books
