My dad, who was a veteran, passed away yesterday at age 87. He was a quiet, mostly private man who wanted no pomp and circumstance at his military burial. He just wanted to be interred with my mom at Jefferson barracks cemetery . Feels like we did what he wanted, but also feels like he deserved more, even if he didn’t think so.
