Is there a name for this aesthetic? I feel like space age is too specific and mid-century is too broad; in the 90's it had a renaissance as being somewhat adjacent to Memphis and "post modernism" ... Someone help me out here.

Many have chimed in, but "Atomic Age" and "Googie" are the most correct. "California Mid-Century" is also appropriate. Google refers to the cafe that is accepted as the genesis of this style.

Is it weird that I heard the sounds for these while thinking of a name? ( much like everyone else here feels 90s CN )

Atomic or Atomic Modern. Quite similar to what in the UK we'd call Festival Modernism (from the Festival of Britain)
