These are all separate emails I received today so far (it’s only 1pm) from brands who contacted me first. Clearly they see the value in working with me but don’t want to pay me for my time & skill. I’ve been a full time creator for 7 years & this year is the worst I’ve witnessed in terms of brands taking the piss. No matter how many followers you have brands will always ask you to work for free - so as creators we need to invest our time in diversifying our income streams because this isn’t it

The client pays the agency to find a creator to do a job for them, but they refuse to pay the creator directly and instead only pay the agency! Why don’t they go straight to the creator and pay them well without going through the agency? We can create our own itinerary, and would likely be even better because we know what our viewers expect and like. It’s all wrong. 😑

This is why I believe is so important to have more transparency in rates, which I know you have been open about it and have resources, but sadly most people in this industry find this a taboo and don’t want to share, but it would have helped to set better standard to brands
