This hit!!! As a single mom to a young black king…I try to give him everything I didn’t have growing up. Not the material things, the emotional things. I try to laugh with him as much as I can, I always tell him how handsome he is, when he is afraid from a bad dream…come climb in bed with me. To some, I’m babying him. But for me, our black men need to be nurtured just like our black women. That starts at home. I will always show up for my son…whether society likes it or not!!!
