It has different names: apatheia, unknowing, serenity, the peace that passes understanding. Whichever we choose to call it, it is an indicator that God's design for Christians is not that we should walk around with our metaphorical hands on our rapier hilts, waiting for opportunities to cry foul and demand satisfaction. To combine this sort of pugnacity with a willingness to act on the basis of misinformation is a sick parody of the way of life to which Christ calls us.
