We need to talk about why this matters and why this is dangerous. We also need to normalize people apologizing and changing their stance/removing harmful posts online, when you get new information, etc. Even though damage has already been done, it’s not too late to try and minimize further harm by doing the right thing. Also, apologies that contain a “but” or try to deflect onto other subjects are not sincere apologies. (3/13)
