Do you know what bothers me most when reading Polin fanfics? It’s so sad that Penelope clings unwaveringly to Colin’s words from the last ball. The “I would never dream of courting…” speech and it’s actually infuriating sometimes because there have been a few that I have read and Colin is basically throwing himself at Pen, along with apologies/grand gestures and even love confessions. Yet her inner monologue is still “there is no way Colin is interested”. 🙄 Poor girl but also…
