I actually compassionately get how easy it is to fall prey to misinformation. But maybe this will help: if something you’re about to reshare or comment on has the ability to harm someone, to put already marginalized people and populations further at risk, take some of that outrage and channel it into googling first. The immense privilege exercised speaking on something any of us knows little to nothing about should always be checked. Hard stop.
