When did we stop trusting women to birth their babies? Birth isn’t inherently a medical event and doesn’t always require constant intervention from medical providers. When providers lack extensive knowledge and skills in normal, physiological birth, they often turn a natural bodily process into a medicalized event. Birth is a deeply human experience that deserves to be honored and respected.
