Simple IRA and a Roth IRA

*Disclaimer I am not an accountant or CFP* I started by maxing out a Roth IRA each year set up through Fidelity Investments. I would recommend hiring a financial planner to manage your investments because after you deposit the amount into your account it has to be invested in the stock market. A CFP can help you manage your finances so that you know you’re setting enough aside to actually retire one day while accounting for inflation and lifestyle. I hope that helps!

I have an IRA through sofi they offer a 1% match and life insurance. Realistically it's the same for self employed as anyone else because the money is coming from you either way. In both scenarios you have to make choices about the investments and once set up it's automatic.
