If you’re able to help them, why not? You don’t have to but if you see her struggling it’s your son/daughter who is watching you. My parents split up & we were poor, my dad was poor too,but him & my tios would always look out for my mom & her son when able to. Do things from your heart & let your child see the kind of person you are. If you’re taken advantage of that’s one thing because that can be frustrating. Once in awhile if you can or let her kick rocks lol 🤷🏻♀️ wishing you the best 🤍

Offer to take your daughter off her hands if you have a stable home environment. Why not? If you can better provide then you watch her. Help your ex out that way. Everyone wins. Seems unfair to the kid to have to stay with the parent less able to give them the better home.

Can you take care of your daughter for like a few more hours a week or maybe commit to Saturdays, for example, so that she can work more?

Honestly bro if your Ex struggling your kid is struggling. If you’re gonna help don’t ever bring it back up or ask for “favors” in return. Keep documents but most importantly keep it professional. Once she’s out her rut gradually ease up. Your heart is in the right place but don’t hen green to things either nih.

If she is struggling, your kid is struggling too. Help them.

I took this to mean your ex is struggling financially right now is that correct? People coming at you cause you aren’t offering to take your daughter off her hands is wild. If what you have more of right now is money than time, then you can express that to your ex. I wouldn’t let her become dependent on the extra funds, but if there is a way to pay for something that would be a relief you definitely should to help your daughter out. Are ther specific daughter expenses you could pay for?

If you can contribute, I think that would be best. It would probably mean a lot to your Ex, and it will show your child to have compassion for others. I don’t know much about you or your situation as a stranger online, but why let someone struggle if you can lend a helping hand? If down the road, you need assistance, wouldn’t you hope someone would treat you with compassion?

Offer to take your daughter for 6-9 months while mom gets back on her feet. You mentioned you work too much to take custody but look into daycare during your work hours or ask for family support.
