The way to move forward is to lie to yourself. Logic never causes one to adapt to unsuitable conditions. Be true to yourself? You’ll only be staring at your grave. Seeing things for what they are? Always look at life with optimism even when what you see is abhorrent. If you come across a dead body just be happy they’re in a better place. If you aren’t happy now, convince yourself that you are. Life is about living and the clock is ticking, if your legacy is built on lies so be it.
