As a MN native, I've always been proud of this mid-size state's record of putting important people on the national stage. Hubert Humphrey amassed a tremendous record as governor, senator and VP. (Look him up!) Walter Mondale and Paul Whitestone, Gene McCarthy and Amy Klobuchar are more examples. I haven't lived in MN for a while now, but I hear Walz has a similar record of progressive and pragmatic policy along with being a truly decent guy. None of which can be said of his counterpart.
