Happy with the pick of Tim Walz for VP. Especially happy that he's a former teacher. Even though I've never met him, as a teacher myself, I feel like I know his type. A football coach who sponsored his school's first GSA (gay straight alliance)...a pretty rare combo, but I've known a few like that. That speaks volumes. Schools are microcosms of society. Teachers/admins who can relate to (and earn the trust of) both the football players AND the LGBTQ kids are an asset to any school building
