Saw this late. This issue I find with the pro black or not black enough discourse is this: Often times in groups people will discount blackness if they don't feel said person did enough or had the best intentions. My question is why this doesn't happen in the culture for the worst offenders. Diddy with his past and abusing his black partner. Bill Cosby and his disgraceful behavior. Or any celebrity that engages in violence against our people. Why isn't their "blackness" put into question?
