A lifestyle business is a type of business designed to support the owner's preferred lifestyle, focusing on work-life balance rather than maximizing profits or growth. As Alan Weiss puts it, "Real wealth is discretionary time." This is something I've prioritized heavily in the last couple of years—both in my own business and the businesses of the people I coach. I'm not interested in more profit for profit's sake or growth for growth's sake. I want time independence.
