You want the active ingredient in your toothpaste, whether it’s fluoride, xylitol, or hydroxyapatite and also potassium nitrate, to sit undisturbed for approximately 30 minutes so that it can effectively do its job(fight cavities, strengthen teeth and gums, and decrease sensitivity just to name a few).
