Even if some heroes survives, they would have lose their greatest and more powerful army, which would now be under Night King control. Probably dragons too or at least one of them. How would you make them win after that ? Army of the Dead would be really unstoppable. Only deus ex machina or some heavy plot armor would save them. I mean much more than any plot armor you imagine about when thinking the Long Night episode
