I really don’t like the lack of visual elements in the modern music industry. I’m talking specifically about the listening experience itself. With physical media, you had things to read and look at whilst you listened. Liner notes, credits, lyrics, artwork and photos. These all deepened the experience, you felt more invested in the artist. Today, you press play and then you put your phone in your pocket. Other than the artwork, there’s nothing for your eyes to enjoy.
