I feel bad for the North Korean athletes, for a number of reasons. One is that, unlike the athletes from other countries, the NK athletes don’t have their family members in the stands cheering them on; in fact, there are NO fans from NK at all! The NK government doesn’t want to let any more people than necessary leave the country for fear of defection, and some of the athlete’s families are probably being held hostage to ensure their return. It’s all just really sad!
