The planned bridge connecting Boracay to the mainland is now included in the 2025 DPWH budget. Negotiations are ongoing, with San Miguel Holdings Corporation proposing the project. The 1.2-kilometer bridge, with a Php4.6 billion budget, will include pedestrian lanes, bikeways, utilities, and public transportation.
