In light of the judgment of Brendan Depa, the autistic teen who assaulted his teacher.. this story came to my mind regarding mental health issues and how they're handle differently between races. Here, we have Anthony Montwheeler, a man who was never known to have been diagnosed with mental health issues yet plead insanity in 1996 to the kidnapping of his then wife and baby threatening to kill them. His insanity plea got him 20 years in state hospital instead of the original 70 years in prison
