When I started learning about autism, so much of my life started to make sense. From tiny moments to whole parts of myself. Example: I’m now pretty sure my 8th grade math teacher didn’t actually want me to teach class that day when I was (loudly, I guess) helping a kid beside me while she was lecturing. She stopped and said “Ahem! Julie, would you like to teach the class today??” And I said “yes, thank you!” And I took the expo marker from her and taught the rest of the period 🤣 autism
