I felt so helpless. My 10-month-old adoptive son gets fever up & down in 4 days in-a-row and needs specific medication which I think he will be hospitalized later, but his birth mother refused to send him there since he hasn't got any health insurance yet. She is afraid that we can't afford the medicine and the room cost if we send him to see a pediatrician in the hospital. His adoptive father is also reluctant to send him there for the same reason.
