2. They couldn’t find mac and cheese made with American cheese instead of emmental (apparently they had the worst food they have ever had and like… duh? You’re trying to eat American food in a place that’s not at all American?)

The Starbucks thing is a very specific demographic of American tourist. I lived in a touristy area in north central Wisconsin in the late 90s early 00s and I had to explain repeatedly that they’d have to drive at least 2 hours south to maybe, possibly, find a Starbucks but there’s gas station cappuccino everywhere they were aghast. Off season the pop was like 1,200. Why they thought one would be near I have no idea

My 60th is a trip to Tahiti and I promise I will not be that person. But I’m sure the social media pics they posted were amazing.
