I remember trying to create a proof of concept a few months ago for a indie author subscriptionl for readers. Based on the chats I had, readers are ready. But us as authors aren't. While I could offer a higher royalty, I can't guarantee the kind of income KU offers...and then we have the exclusivity contract. This dream still lives in the back of my head, even if I haven't solved it properly. Because I know one day the answer will probably come out of no where. Or while I'm in the shower.
