I don't usually write the miscommunication trope (even though I think it's totally a valid romance device when it's built into the plot and character arcs!) It's just that I'm AuADHD so clear, direct communication is my number one kink and I write things that *I* like to read, which is my legal right as outlined in the unspoken writer's code, section 6, subsection 9: "there are no rules except the first rule: all romance books must have an HEA"
