Today I learned of the German word "Fernweh" and I feel it. "The literal English translation of "Fernweh" is "far-sore" or, more colloquially, "farsickness." Fernweh is often described as a longing for distant places, a yearning for travel. It is the opposite of homesickness, which is the longing for home while away."
