I have noticed more stories of women denied care when experiencing life threatening pregnancies. Some cite hospitals with names which suggest ties to religious entities, especially the Catholic Church. Even if Kamala signs a bill making abortion legal across the country, 15.2 % of all types of hospitals operated by health systems nationwide are Catholic, and they could still refuse care citing religious freedom.
