Generally speaking, I am not in favor of charters and "school choice" It is a covert way to divest from a community asset under the guise of helping and choice rhetoric specifically targets peopel of color. That being said, I have seen some very good charter schools. I think charter schools have more flexibility and that is a lot of power. With the right intent, it can go well, but overall it is usually more harmful and a few good charters does not outweigh the overall harm
