Blacktip sharks are one of the species I got a chance to swim with several years ago. They’re a medium sized shark, growing to about 5 1/2–6 ft, and like many shark species, the females tend to be larger than the males. Sadly, due to overfishing (they’re eaten around the world) and habitat destruction, blacktip sharks have been classed as near threatened.
