Story Time. A lot of the time the first thing people put on the belt is their reusable bags. It's a more subtle way of being an asshole. It means these are for you till monkey DANCE. This is not the worst part. The worst part is the bags themselves. They are almost always FILTHY. Not just a little dusty either, do you know how often I found used dirty tissues in bags? Technically I am allowed to say something but people get so indignantly BUTTHURT about it there is no point. FML.
