What is one thing no one ever told you about starting a career? For me its when you're looking to build your network. I was told to connect with people on LinkedIn and ask for coffee dates. What I realize now, is that I get 3 - 5 messages like this a week in my LinkedIn and none of them are ever personalized enough to why the person actually wants "MY TIME". I made this mistake a lot when I was getting started, and now I wish someone told me a better way to do it (cont in comments)
