Things like this are the reason IGs algorithm keeps changing and does not only look at “likes” and follows, but also other engagement (shares, views, length of view times, saves. Etc)when pushing your content into feeds. A lot of creators don’t want to admit that some of their engagement/following is not organic. But also, from a business standpoint, it lengthens their reach so they’re willing to do so regardless. Kind of like self advertisement hoping it reaches their intended audience.
