ItEndsWithUs When you say in any conversation that victims are “more than just victims,” it feels like you’re deliberately trying not to see or acknowledge the thing that needs to be visible for them. It brings shame and learning to identify as a victim is an important first step in unlearning and changing how the brain of someone who has been abused works. Admitting that they are victims/survivors first doesn’t diminish everything else that they also are 1/2
